I've had my 8800GT for a while now. Its a Palit 8800GT only 512mb ram.
I've got the accelero s2 on it, with 2 82mm fans strapped to it. It gives me really cool temperatures. I've never seen it go above 60C.

However, i seem to not be able to overclock the core speed over 720ish.
It works above 720 but it's too unstable. I've overvolted it, but it still crashes. It's annoying because i would rather squeese the most of it and get the temperatures up to 70-80. I've found the memory doesn't overclock well, so i left it at stock to avoid artifacting.

Anyone else have problems overclocking their 8800GTs?
I can't remember the exact volts i got on it, and i can't find out atm (monitor being repaired).

I think 800 is a bit far for most of the cards. Ive got the palit 9800gt (basically the same card with new fetures) and core is 720 ish max. Thats still at 120% (if my maths is correct) so not bad.

And my memory doesn't clock too well either. I can get it to around 950-960 and then it started to make high pitched noises under load .

If you can get it further id say you have a pretty decent card.

Yeah i know 720 aint but, but i want MORE! hehehe. Yeah i know, its a shame i didn't get the 1gb version, but it was the OcUK value graphics cards.
Especially with 1920x1200 resolution.

I just couldn't afford the extra money, was having to borrow some to finish building my computer anyway
