Hi, can I pick anyones brains as too what I am doing wrong here....
I've got a 6300 but the max stable overclock I can get is a FSB of 346 * 7. I'm running me ram at PC25300 with timing of 4 4 4 12, or 5 5 5 15 and a memory voltage of 1.9. Whatever I set the FSB too, be it 350, 360, and up to 430, I cannot get the PC to boot and I have to reset with the usual bios overclock failure message..
I'm using the newest bios 1503
I've tried to follow the settings that you guys have but nothing seems to work, my CPU isn't overheating and everything else seems fine and I can run the Orthos soak test with 346 * 7 until the cows come home.
Help me guys, as something ain't right here...

Hi, no good, sorry.
Set the memory voltage as you said, it turns red, set fsb to 400, turned down the timings to 5 5 5 15 and it refused to boot. After I'd switched it off and back on again it says overclocking or overclocker voltage failed, or something like that.

Any other ideas?

Try using the auto settings for the RAM timings. I find with my P5WDH that if I manually set the timings on my Geil RAM, it isn't interested (ran Memtest and RAM is fine - maybe problem with the mobo) but if I use the auto setting, everything is fine.

Hi, thx for that Bigstan, I can get to 370 with your recommedation but any higher and it won't boot. What do you set your voltages at?

One of the things you need to do to get past 370MHz is switch off SPD Timings.

Edit: In fact just ignore me.
