looking to bump the vcore up on my 6970 a bit from stock(tis an HIS card btw)

what third party app will allow me to do this?

cheers

managed to bump my vcore up previously with an app but for the life of me cannot remember the name of it

MSI Afterburner is your friend but you will have problems with BFBC2 and any other Punbuster game at the moment.

The reference card has got very good components, better than some 3rd party ones, due to the high quality Volterra VRMs... You are good to go till 1.25v-1.3v as long as you keep it cool

With MSI afterburner you need to go to program files x86/msi afterburner/ and change one line in msiafterburner.cfg to:

"UnofficialOverclockingEULA = I confirm that I am aware of unofficial overclocking limitations and fully understand that MSI will not provide me any support on it"
without adding that long line i was never able to get voltage control. Now it works fine. But with standart cooler it's pointless increasing voltage, as you will need to increase fan speed and then dealing with the loudness of the fan.
Voltage increase is good if you have aftermarket cooler or WC :)
And yeah, MSI afterburner causes BC2 to crash every time you have them both on. And even then, i might have my card at stock and BC2 will crash to desktop from time to time, it's annoying, hopefully developers wont make same mistake with BF3.
