Hi guys, new to the forum so hopefully i'm in the right place.

I'm curious of a few things since i never bothered OC-ing before.

Basically i got a gigabyte 780 windforce 3x OC. It seems max i can give this card (it's already factory ocd) w/o voltage changing is about 90 mhz getting it to around 1189 or so in games think it was.

Memory doesn't seem to OC at all.

Also would like to know how reliable is 3d mark for testing OCs? I can even go as far as 150mhz with no overvoltage in bf4 for ex and not crash, but go over 90 mhz in 3d mark and it crashes on the first test (the ships). And i played bf4 for about 3-4 hours and nothing, skyrim heavily modded + enb for about another 3-4 hours and nothing. So yeah... Temps were also max in the 75s.

And now to overvolting:

My card for some reason allows a + 0.63mv. I've noticed almost everyone talking about OV that they have a max of +0.38mv on their 780s. Any idea what's going on?

And one last thing and very important for me at least :

How safe is this? Let's say i use the normal OV at 0.38mv + clock as far as it goes... and for some reason my card decides to fry even though it was perfectly stable.

Will they be able to tell i OCd the card ? Will my warranty cover it? It's got 3 years and i'm not worried about degradation after this is over.

Mentioning one more time though just to be sure, only software OC no Bios/hardware mods anything.
