Overclocking a AMD 64 X2 4200+

Lo,

My CPU clock is running at 2.2Ghz, I've seen a lot of people with the same CPU but much higher clock speeds.

I think my motherboard might be stopping me from overclocking much further, im not sure. (dont really know much about overclocking) for instance do i have to increase my CPU voltage when overclocking? I've no idea :|


So would just like some general tips, heres my hardware

CPU - AMD 64 X2 4200+
mobo - GA-K8N-SLi
RAM - x2 512 PC3200 modules

argh, die gigabyte! I had that board with an old single core opteron and i couldn't overclock on it for anything. Some people might have managed it here though.
