hi

is there some recommended settings i should use to see what my chip and board can do with the following, are the components rubbish for o/cing?

Asrock dual vsta with bios 2.90

2 gig of Kingston value ddr2 667 mhz ram

E6300 core 2 duo processor

Windows is on a old 40 gig ide hdd (XP-pro)

i have tried to follow guides but it don;t seem to work.

have a 650 wt psu

stock heatsink and fans.

case is well vented with 120 mm fans front and rear.

i purchased it ages ago when they first came out.

my system is sluggish and not sure if processor board or ram. upgrading my board and ram first. it's the dual vsta and not the 4 core dual vsta by the way.

i will look at a better processor and may get a quad core.

right, sounds like a board, chip and ram upgrade then. want a new mobo asap as my whole system is slow.
