I'm quite new to overclocking graphics cards but I've read a few guides on it. I have MSI Afterburner to change my voltage, core and memory clock settings. I also have GPU-Z to check the temps while testing and I am using Unigine Heaven as the benchmark.

The default settings on the MSI Twin Frozr II were a core voltage of 0.975v which I have increased to 1.05v. I increased the core clock from 880MHz to 950MHz and increased the memory clock from 2000 to 2200MHz. I tested this in Haaven and it seemed fine with no artefacts or crashing with temps maxing at 70 degrees with a fan speed of 60%.

Is this benchmark sufficient or do I need to do other things like Furmark? I tried Furmark earlier and the temps reached 90 degrees which was a bit worrying but it isn't a realistic benchmark for gaming is it?

Finally can I increase my overclock some more or just keep it as it is? What is the max voltage and temps I should be reaching?

I've got the same card as you as have overclocked to about 980mhz safely, benchmark with MSI Kombustor to check for artifacts and temps etc, anything below 70c is fine imo, Don't do too much on the memory as you can't monitor the temps for that, and memory is the thing that usually fails first on GPUs if they are overclocked to much.

I wouldn't go much higher on the voltage tbh, i haven't overclocked anymore i find 880mhz is fine for this card, I'll probably upgrade to something else when games become more demanding.

950mhz is fine if you are not going over 60c

I'm trying Kombustor now and the temps are around 77 degrees with the core clock at 975 and the memory clock at 2100 do you think that is okay?

Yeah it's not dangerously high, but i noticed there was minimal increase in performance when overclocked at 980mhz, maybe 3-4 fps, so I haven't bothered since.
