Hello All,

This is only my second thread on this forum, and as such, you can probably guess i'm a complete beginner.
My other post was asking what I should do to upgrade my current PC, which it turns out is about 5 years old!
Overclocking the CPU was one of the suggestions I got, along with BIOS upgrading and the most needed GPU upgrade.

I've done the BIOS and the GPU will be bought later, going to go with the GTX 1070 as I've been told it's good. (Currently have a 560ti )

  • My current CPU is the i5 2500k.
  • I have a Titan Universal CPU Cooler which gets high 60s under P95 tests.
  • Memory: 8gb Ram
  • Power Supply: 600W Quiet 80 Plus QUAD Rail PSU
  • Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V LX

I have no idea how to Overclock anything and all guides look incredibly confusing to me. Thankfully, you lot on here are geniuses.
I'm looking to OC to a maximum of 4.3ghz just to get a modernish stable system.

Would anyone please be able to assist with this? I'd be very grateful! Let me know if any more information is required for anyone to inform me how I do this.

Cheers,

Nathan
