I'm looking to get one of the OC Ultima Mobile laptops this week, but I still haven't decided what processor to get. I need the fastest possible (T9600 @ 2.8GHz) but wondered if it would be a waste of money and whether it would be worth getting a lower spec chip and overclocking it?

I asume that overclocking a laptop is a bad idea due to heat? Or is a small increase possible?

I've overclocked the graphics (8600GT DDR3) on my XPS M1530, up from 475 to 600ish. Just keep an eye on the temps, if they get to high, nock it back.

Can't do processor on here as the BIOS is all locked though :(.

Graphics card was steady at around 70/72 playing WoW, processor was around 60 as I remember.

Had a slight clock on the memory too, but can't remember that one.
