Anyone tried this and if so what were your results?

Looking to see if I can improved my FPS in some classic games.

Not exactly sure how to go about it though...

LOL! I love it.

Just run an emulator dude if you want to increase FPS!

Emulators are usually fail, just never plays how you remember it

I don't think I quite agree. Emulators are often superb! You also have filters which make them look 10 times better than the original, the ability to save anywhere, the ability to run them on a monitor with a high resolution, and a million other mods, hacks and tweaks. They can be great. Use a PlayStation pad and a USB converter and they're more fun (keyboard and mouse isn't).

I think the thing is, those games are often never as good as you remember them anyway, despite whether on an emulator or on the original system they were released on. I used to love Dig Dug on the Atari VCS. I was hooked on it and I still own the hardware and games, but when I played it on an emulator about 20 years later, it sucked, I just thought it was good at the time.

Thats the thing, you can do all that - wish there was a multi USB converter for every controller made :D

My parents bought a wii today with mario kart (no idea why lol) and i got so excited i saw a track on there called "SNES ghost valley" :D cant wait to play that

I guess emulators are great in a way - just wish it was how it was back then.

BTW - anyone remember toejam and earl :)

A guy overclocked a Vibrator once so I don't see why no (You think I'm joking, try Googling it, think its on XS). ;)

EDIT : It was actually Volt Mod but its same outcome, runs faster. :p

Hello there :)

Lol helmet, made me spit my cuppa tea when i read your post :D, i wonder if someone done a 8hr stress test on it :p

I doubt changing the crystal will work, yeah it'll make the CPU run faster, but games were generally coded with a fixed clock rate in mind so you'll find that your games will be "sped up" rather than getting a higher fps.
