Overclocking a TN panel ?

I've overclocked monitors before to give a higher refresh rate but never a TN panel, Is it possible ?

Only tn panel I tried with was a 27 inch Asus recently. Can't remember model number - have to look it up.

They wouldn't budge. Whereas my Asus vg27ah 3d ips screen which was going to be the middle screen went up to 108hz...
