Decided to have another go at overclocking my 3500+ Newcastle and found quite a nice discovery, or at least I hope.

The standard voltage for this cpu is 1.5v correct? Well my mobo was setting it automatically at 1.55, I always thought my chip ran a bit warm. I have just reset this manually to 1.5v and noticed a 6c drop in temperature (50c max load now), and thats with a overclock running at 2.4GHz completely stable. Still got lots of room left for more so Ill see what I can get out of it!

Seems stable at 2.5GHz. Really need better ram to test it properly as this Geil doesnt like much more than 209Mhz. Very tempting to get some OCZ stuff

Hey, I had a 3500+ Newcastle before I sold my rig to go conroe.
I would suggest lowering the multiplier to ten and putting the mem on a divider, that should let you raise the FSB a fair way. I could get mine to 260 fairly comfortably.
