overclocking abit

any body know how to unlock an abit ig-31 motherboard? as to be able to adjust multiplier?

to raise, i installed the Q6600 2.4 but bios is set to 200 and 6 so my actual frequency is a mear 1.2! and the multiplier is "grayed out" so i cant raise it to 266?

i didn't find any auto detect settings in bios to do with cpu auto detect all i could find was the ddr settings, the manual which was supplied with board is useless!

bios does not look like that and i downloaded bios 10 and using abit flash installed bios then pulled power and cleared cmos then put power bk in and set bios up but still no multiplier settings?

yeah you got right motherboard????? so if that pic is right why does my bios not look like that?

Get this ive just re-flashed bios with ver 10 and now bios is reading 2.4ghz and a multipler of 9???? but i still cant get to change the settings manually??????

p.s. this is my first time on ere how do you upload pics? lol HELP :confused:

thanks i know what you mean with memory timings so ill change them, as for cpu details on one screen you can change cpu voltage and ddr voltage but yes im surprised that there is no screen with more cpu details?

right then get this, now the motherboard settings have gone bk to 1.2ghz? and im getting a disk boot failure all the time? is my motherboard duff or is it just me?
