Right, firstly, do i even NEED to overclock? obviously id like to, but comparing my result to other 8800gts 320mb results ive seen on the forum, mines pretty good?

ive also had a look at the kinda speeds some people on the forums have overclocked their 8800gts 320mb to, but im not sure if i can get to these kind of speeds?

here is my rig..

--Intel Dual Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4ghz overclocked to 3.0 ghz
--BFG Nvidia 8800GTS 320mb OC PCI-E
--Asus P5N-E SLI mobo nforce 650
--2gb Geil Ram 5-5-5-15 PC6400C5 800MHz
--Corsair 520watt PSU
--320GB Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm SATA-II
--Lian-Li PC-7 PLUS Aluminium Case- Black
--Noctua NH-U12F Heatsink

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, as im here pondering over ATItool and Ntune to speed it all up, but aint got the guts haha!

what kinda max temp under load should i be looking at for the CPU? i remember when my friend and i did it last time, we stopped because it was getting a little warm.

also. have u got any general advice on overclocking the graphics card... i dont wanna mess it all up. ive heard ATItool is the best cause i can check for artifacts easily. but im still scared lmao

im guessin im probably really annoyin u haha but one last thing... (i think)

is that too high for my cpu to idle at? :S ive overclocked my gfx card now to 600/900 and got 10100 on 3dmark :), gunna try a bit higher :D

ive overclocked my 8800gts now. got a 3dmark score of 10505 with 634/954...

i was informed that these cards are fine even up to 100degrees C... not sure how much truth there is in that, anyway, so the 84/85 deg C i was getting under full load at these clock speeds didnt worry me...

started to play some TDU, and after a while smelt burning :| i think it was anyway. so ive dropped it down a bit now :)
