Hi chaps, am new round here so go easy lol.

I've been out of the gaming and o/cin side of things for a few years now due to new arival at home. I recently have found myself with a lot more time to myself, so thought i'd treat my self to a new rig:

A8n32-SLI
4200 X2
XFX 7800 GT Extreme
2GB Muskin XP 4000

Can anyone give any advice on were to start with the o/cin, and give any ides how much i SHOULD be able to get from the machine. Also advice on cooling would be great, i have a Blue ORB II to start off with.

Thanks in advance fellas.

Hey,

Here is a good A64 overclocking guide, even though your not on a DFI mobo it's essential read.

Also Anandtech A64 overclocking guide

Plus the sticky thread on here.

Prime95 to stability test as always. Copy the program into two directories (so you have the program in its entirety twice on your system) and then you can run two itterations of it to test both cores simultaniously.

That's about it really. Keep an eye on your temps. Not sure what the max voltages are for the X2s, I'm still on an old AthlonXP so haven't been down this road as yet.

There was a thread titled 'official X2 4400 thread' or something similar where people were posting what they were getting from their X2s. Would be worth having a look through to give you some idea of what to be aiming for.
