Overclocking Advice

I am new to all this, but I am interested in learning. I have a Intel® Core™ i7-4700MQ Processor (6MB Cache, up to 3.4GHz w/ Turbo Boost in my PC. Is this worth overclocking or not?

Overclocking a laptop is generally a bad idea.

if you want to have a play, then you could undervolt the CPU. That will teach you most of what overclocking is about, and will make your laptop a bit quieter and cooler.
