I've been recently trying to overclock my system, I've never overclocked before I'm a noob at this.
I bought my components from Overclockers around 18months ago apart from the GPU
my system is
gigabyte ab350-gaming 3 bios version f40
AMD Ryzen 1700x
32 Team force vulcan 3000mhz memory
MSI Geforce 2070 Armor
I got the cpu running at 4ghz with 0.124 offset voltage. I did a stress test in aida64 for 3 hours with temps maxing at 65c, my system booted with the memory at 3000mhz 1.35
I thought everything was good used it for the rest of the day no issues. I turned it off over night the power cable was switched off at the mains. Turned it on next day the system wouldn't boot just black screen it cycled a couple of times and the bios had reset?
Is there anything I've missed when overclocking or do I simply need to keep power going to the system even when off?
Thanks,
