Yesterday i started this thread, other thread to do with my voltages, but as i said i set it manually and it seemed to work fine, until....

This morning i went to play css @ 2.7ghz and 1st css crashed twice and then it froze again as it had done previously, this was after i had increased the voltages and temps are still way below extreme (no more then 40) so what could it be that is making it freeze? Benjo suggested it could be my OCZ value ram... which is acceptable, but it would like some more input to help me out

thanks

this is kind of related to your query, I also recently upgraded to a 3000+ venice, I have used the auto overclocking function in my motherboards bios and in cpu-z the core speed reads as 1980.2 mhz, the multiplier is x9.0 and the htt reads as 220.mhz.

Im just wondering if this sounds right? ie would I be able to get any more out of this cpu? Correct me if im wrong but the core speed seems lower than it should be?

no 220 x 9 is 1980.

I've run my 3000 winchester on 280 (It could've gone further I reckon) without many problems.

well mines been hitting 300 - 315 but thats when it starts getting unstable. in fact i've even had problems at around 270.

when i get a new cooler i hopefully want to see this beast hit 3ghz

spacegrass whats the stepping of yours?
