Hey Everyone!

I'm new to this forum and fairly new to overclocking so i thought i'd come here for a bit of advice.

I have a AMD Phenom x4 9950 Black Edition. Stock clocked at 2.6GHz.

Stock voltage is 1.300V. I also have a Gelid Silent Spiri Cooler ( http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-000-GD&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=1395 ).

I have managed to achieve 3.00GHz as stable maintaining the 1.300V stock value and, under a stress test, core temperatures never go above around 45.

Soon as i try and get any more out of it however i'm starting to have problems.

In order to load windows (and it not crash within minutes) at 3.1GHz or (15.5 Multiplier) I have to up the voltage to 1.337. Testing seemed fine on these settings with temps no higher than 50c untill about 8 minutes in (using Prime95), then core 4 returned an error.

I'm just after a bit of information about what i need to do to get any more out of my chip.

Thanks!
