hi im new to this sort of stuff so just wondering if any of u nice people can help.

the base clocks for my card are gpu clock 1050mhz and memory clock 1500.
my overclock is gpu clock 1100mhz and memory clock is 1600mhz.or and my base vddc is 1256mv and my mvddc is 1500vc i havnt touched any of these.

ive been playing witcher 3 and running the heaven benchmark all working fine with no probs.

so i was looking up online and came across this thread

power target 120%
gpu clock 1200 mhz
memory clock +1800 mhz
voltage 1275 mv
fan control rpm @ default

so just want to no if i should copy this a try and go for this target?
im new to this and dont want to destroy my card.
is the overclock what ive done ok.

thanx for the help in advance.

I have the exact same card and 1150 on the core was the highest i got and I couldn't OC the memory at all without either producing nasty artifacting or simply reduced performance (i.e lower heaven score) due to error correction or something.

AFAIK you cant alter the voltage of these cards without some sort of bios hack.

ive just gone for that overclock and it crashed soon as i ran heaven so maybe i will just stick with the small overclock.

i thought the r9 280x his ipower iceq x2 boost was a great overclocking card?

280x are re branded 7970 Ghz editions,so really they already have huge overclocks to begin with.

I had a giga 280x 1100/1500 out the box.Would only do 1150mhz,
