overclocking and memory

can someone help me with this problem my system specs are

antec 300 case
Intel Core i5 760 2.80GHz
motherboard gigabyte p55-usb3
Corsair XMS3 8GB (4x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz
2x Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024MB GDDR5 running crossfire
corsair cw600 psu
corsair h50 cooler +2 120mm front cooling fans
ocz ssd 120gb

the problem is smartboost fails to overclock instead the higher i put it the lower it goes very confused but if i take 4gb of memory out it works perfect thanks in advance

dont use smartboost its rubbish, you would be better off doing it in the bios.

settings are same or very similiar to yours.

I got 4ghz with my i5 760 following the guide.

thanks for that ive managed to sort the problem out now but i think doing it from the bios would be a better option cheers
