I'm just getting into oc. Have read, and read and then read some more. This site, and many others on the 'net have gazillions of pages of info on oc.

Tight budget and limited funds mean that I am wetting myself that I will do something stupid and cause myself misery, pain and expense by failing to properly carry out the basic baby steps...

Anyway...is there any one site that is reccommended as providing the 'best' info on oc?

Are there any hardcopy manuals/books? (is the OCUK Overclocking manual any good?).

Did I mention that I've read and read and read....

I don't intend to oc my current hardware as it is sooooo old...what I want to do is build a new pc (have picked out most of what I want). Then as time passes, as I cannot afford to stay at the 'leading edge'...I will progressively oc to the max...meanwhile saving my pennies...at the next appropriate time will build another pc and do it all again...

My thinking is that I would rather build it myself (I will know exactly what components are in it...as advised by these forums).
I will be able to run the machine at decent 'speeds' to keep up to date with games...until such a time as a new build is required....

Softly...softly...
