Hi,

I am looking to buy a good overclocking board second hand, and have these two options for a similar sort of price:

Asrock Dual SATA2 S939
MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum

I know the MSI is the more expensive of the two, but which is actually better for overclocking? On another forum a lot of people swear by the Asrock, but figured I'd check with you lot too :). I don't overly need the AGP slot on the asrock as I imagine I'll be getting a pci-e graphics card (rather than using my old ti4200).

Also, I read something about the ULi M1695 chipset - is this a newer revision of the motherboard that is good for overclocking?

Would you recommend any other mobos at all?

Lots of people have had good overclocks with the Asrock, but it can be a pain to get working, and can have little problems that annoy the hell out people.

Vcore adjustment is poor, only a .05 adjustment (unless you want to do a mod on the board) but it will allow say around a 400mhz (maybe more depending on cpu) overclock without it.

If you dont need the agp slot then i would look at something else, its good value board but the problems you may have with it is something to bear in mind.

Cheers, think I'll go for the asrock then just ask people on here :p. Specially as I am working to a budget, can't really get much better than that anyway.
