Overclocking C2D?

Guys n Girls

Just wanting some advice on overclocking the components listed below

Just purchased a E6600, Asus Commando MB & CellShock 2GB DDR2 PC2-6400C4 800MHz from the wonderful oc of course.. :cool:

I wanting to o/c the cpu to 3.6, but with the ram, and mboard all in sync, with no bottlenecks. What timings should one use in the bios. Anyone else got a similar setup, who can provide some info? HSF is Arctic Freezer 7, so should be able to hit the above speed no problem

Have a read of the specific threads in the OCing/Mobo/CPU forums and then come back with specific issues. There are to many variables than can be covered in just one answer.

You mean reading through all the different configurations of different rigs, and apply the settings based on the same hardware? I was doing that already but i will post my results later on. thx for the reply

I mate

all I can say, is that you have a great setup( cpu ,mobo,DDR 2 ram)

In my setup, ASUS P5b de luxe and a cpu Xeon 3050 C2D( brother of C2D E 6400) i got 3600 mhz ( 450x8) stable running Orthos blend

with your ASUS Commando, and E6600 and Cellshock i expect you to have a least 3600mhz without any problems

PS - and yes it took me one / two weeks to fully understand all " tricks" this board has,and a lot o reading of overclocking guides for P5B delx ( like in XS foruns for ex.)
