Overclocking Celeron 430

Hi iv just built my first pc, and am having a little trouble overclocking the CPU. specs are as follows-

celeron 430 1.8GHz
asus P5KPL-AM SE (seems to have limited OC features)
1GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800MHz
Sapphire Radeon 4350 256MB
generic case/psu

ok so the multiplier is locked at x9 of course, so i increase the bus speed from 200 to 220...all good, to 230....instability. fair enough, so i take it down to 223 and settle for 2.0GHz. there seems to be no option for increasing the core voltage, which seemed to be the next logical step to me, as the temps are still very low. however iv heard people have got this CPU to over 3.0GHz on stock voltage.
this may seem a silly question but might it be because i only have one stick of 800MHz RAM? CPU-Z shows that the FSB:DRAM ratio is 1:2 (again, seems to be no BIOS option to change this), and therefore my DRAM frequency of the memory is 446MHz. im hazarding a guess that this may be my limiting factor as the memory is instable at this speed (800MHz must be for dual channel??). also no option for increasing memory voltage. what's your thoughts as im a n00b lol :)
thanks

any suggestions? just to note, i changed the CPU to a Celeron E1500 and still only managed to OC the bus speed to 224 (almost 2.5GHz). much faster as it is dual core :)

You should be able to push it further. Its probably the RAM that stopping you because when its at 230, the ram is at 920MHz, thats quite high fo a ram overclock. Try reducing the ratio to 2:3 or even 1:1, try 2:3 first tho.

thanks for the reply. there seems to be no option to change the ratio :( seems to be stuck at 2:1, thats why i thought of adding an additional stick of RAM, perhaps making it dual channel will make it auto switch to 1:1?
