I would welcome a bit advice.
I want to base my system on a q6600 but only feel happy in going to 3.0-3.2.
To do this a bigger psu/motherboard upgrade for stabilty ie p5k to p5ke premium is suggested , better case and better cooler other than standard intel.
Is it worth the additional cost it if I am using it for casual gaming?. Dont get me wrong as I want a good spec.I feel that the quad will give me a longer benifit imo. Will the overclock provide a much bigger 3d mark score over 2.4 stock in relation to additional cost?

you will see a performance icnrease and the cost doesnt really have to be that much. you only need to spends lotsif you want to go for max overclock. but going for 3.0-3.2 shoudl be pretty easy realy. just get an artic freezer pro for £18 stick that on it has mx2 therma paste preappied. that is baout all you need really.
