Hi,

A couple years ago I purchased a pre-built system from OCUK, it was running at a stable overclock but somewhere down the line it's reverted back to default speeds.

OCUK tech support have talked me through a few things but we aren't getting very far so they suggested posting here.

My specs are:

CPU: i7 930 2.8GHz (overclock was 4GHz)
Mobo: Gigabyte X58A-UD3R
RAM: Corsair DDR3 XMS3 3x2GB 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 1.65v V3.2A
PSU: Corsair TX650W

Can anyone help me overclock the CPU back to a stable 4GHz or close to it...

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Ben

choose normal for the cpu voltage in the bios and see how much is being used in the bios for cpu v and tell me

try 191x21 bclk,
set normal for cpu voltage
dvid set to +0.0400v for 1.31v at load
qpi/vtt set to 1.315v
disable intel turbo boost
8x spd system memory multiplier
system performance enhance set to standard
uncore frequency set to 17x
dram voltage set to 1.66v
enable quick ram timings and enter the top for like this
9
9
9
24

try that for 4ghz,might need more/less voltage you would need to test ect

Thanks for the help Wazza but I'm a little out of my depth.... I don't know the first place to start (other than my bios) lol

Is there any easy to use programs that I can input these settings etc or can it only be done through the bios?

just take your time, read the mb manual to find each bios setting and set to what ive posted above,if you get stuck just post back

to adjust the voltages use the + and - keys then f10 to save and exit
