Hi need some advice about overclocking.Ive got a i5-3570k(wc) and Z77-D3H mobo so far Ive got the cpu at 4.6ghz with the settings below.Ive tried pushing for 4.7ghz with the goal of 4.8ghz but to get to 4.7ghz requires at least 1.38v and even then it is not stable in prime 95 for long(<10 min) despite the temperatures not being that much higher(+5c) than at 1.34v.Does the amount of vcore seem about right for this oc, is my chip just a poor ove clocker ?

vcore = 1.34v (very little voltage drop)
vpLL = 1.77v
Fsb = locked at 100mhz
Everything else is stock settings
prime 95 loaded temperatures around 75c-80c
All the power saving c5 state stuff is disabled.

What other voltages can i change to increase stability without upping the vcore ?

What would you say is the maximum safe vcore voltage i can push for ?

Ive got thermal monitor disabled will the cpu still shut itself down if the temperature approaches tmax ?

afik you can go to 1.4v as long as you can keep the temps in check.

i do 47x100 [4.7ghz] at 1.28v with LLC set to ultra high always been after 5ghz myself, never realy tried that hard tho lol just being lazy

if it helps i can get the rest of my settings from my bios for you.
Wow how do you get it stable at such a low vcore compared to myne must be blessed with a good chip ?
