Overclocking CPU

I have read and read and read and I am still confused

I wanna buy a new GPU to play games but I wanna overclock my CPU first.

Few questions

1. Is my motherboard ok to overclock? (In sig)

2. What could I get it upto? (Have been told about 4Ghz)

3. Should I get a better PSU before I do? Currently got a cheap 650W one that has worked fine for 2 years. Will the extra demand cause problems? (My plan is to get one at the end of the month anyway, should I wait to OC til then?)

It is pretty good airflow. All works fine at the moment.

The PSU is EZcool super silent. Only cost about £26

I am looking at getting a 7850/7870.

Right I am ready to overclock. Is it as simple as changing the multiplier and seeing what happens, if it doesn't work, up the voltage and try again?
