I clocked my i7-3570K to 4.7 just by changing the multi on my GA-Z77X-UD5H (rev. 1.0)

Seems to run fine on BF4, but volts say 1.4 on auto. is that too high?

Is there good guide with this motherboard for clocking the cpu, adjusting the right setting with good volts etc, and correct ram settings!

Ram shows 9.9.9.27

Spec

Phanteks PH-TC14PE CPU Cooler
i7-3570K
Crucial RealSSD M4 256GB X 2 Raid0
GA-Z77X-UD5H (rev. 1.0)
Kingston HyperX Genesis 16.0 GB
Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 7970 Windforce 3X. (2ND ONE DUE SOON)!!
Seasonic 860w '80 Plus Platinum' Modular Power Supply

Cheers :)

try with +0.025v dvid and medium or high llc

each cpu will be different in how much voltage it needs so try a touch more ect

That seemed to work thanks..

I got it at 4.5 showing 1.224V.
Played some BF4 and seems ok, but game drives me mad, as it should surley be smother in some places with this spec. just hope the 2nd card will help, as I like i candy ;)
moving from win 7 to win 8.1 was a waste of time, as I did not see any difference in performance moving over lol!!

On my ram side, what can I do with this?
Shows 9.11.11.29 2T

Cheers :)

what ram is it?

could try 9-11-11-24 and 1t command rate idk what dram v your using but can use upto 1.65v

what clocks are you running on the 7970? overclocking it will help

Secs above Kingston HyperX Genesis 16g

Stock on the card.. what shall I try clock it too ? volts etc

I have mine at 1150mhz /1700mhz with 1.168v

im using an accelero cooler though so I would try lower on the memory maybe 1150/1500 or 1600 memory similar voltage or round abouts depends on your temps

if your cpu is around 99% usage in bf4 id concentrate on pushing the cpu more rather than gpu or consider a 3770k with hyperthreading

I am thinking about the 3770k as I got 2n card on the way.
Is it good idea to have hyperthreading turned on then with that chip ?

Here is some pics etc showing GPU/CPU Usages etc.
Is there anything that don't look right..
Does the balance look ok?

Or is there a program that shows any bottleneck?

Cheers :)

from those screens your cpu seems to be topping out (high 90's %)

and the fps minimums are 16fps,you would see higher minumums for sure with a 3770k

could try for 4.6ghz if temps allow on cpu, that might help slightly

I try more clocking on cpu.

So is high 90's % on cpu's not good then? should it be lower? and GPU higher?

Yeah the min seems pretty low.

My res is 1920x1200!

Thanks for you're help tho :)

Yh,that's where the bottleneck lies

CPU can only do so much 100% ect,so the lower the better

Gpu should be at 100%,

I think the stuttering could be down to spiking between 16fps and 60fps

EDIT: actually its not to bad mid to high 70% across the cores but cpu says mid 90%,think you would notice more in xfire

I'm now at 4.6 with +0.055v dvid.. as any lower I get red screen and crash!
will test it.. on the min 16fps, it seems to go up when max fps goes down?
Min I see the max fps go down to, is 52

I would more in xfire? more what mate?

Cheers.:)

Youll definitely get much lower cpu use in xfire with the 3770k. Gpu use will be consistently higher too. Its even more noticeable on the older bf3 as 4 is still a bit of a mess tbh.
