just started overclocking my e2180 and have a quick question about temps.

i've gone from 2.0GHz to 2.5GHz and my temps don't seem to have risen much, if at all. (i'm aiming for 3GHz)

I'm getting 28ish idle and 38ish load if i recall correctly (at work at the mo). Those are the temps i get in speedfan and coretemp. will they only rise significantly if i hit 3GHz or is my monitoring software not working correctly? I tried to download intelTAT but it wouldn't work.

system info:
abit ip35
thermalright ultima 90 with 120mm fan and arctic silver 5
coolermaster stacker case with 1 input fan and 2 extract fans.

advice/input much appreciated.

ah ok. to be honest i don't think i'll be making voltage increases. if i can get to 3GHz on stock voltages then that is all good but if not, i'm not too fussed. It's only my first proper overclock (had a rather lame effort on my last system) so i don't want to start pushing things to the limits.

does overclocking significantly reduce the lifespan of your cpu? i suppose it depends on the voltages and temps does it?
