I got mine around 3 days ago and my heat sink came with the Aluminum Heat sink. I currently running mine at 2.6ghz on stock voltage (266 x 10) . I am waiting until Monday when i get my new ram, Geil 6400 ULL to over clock my 2180 past the 3 ghz mark!
You dont need 6400 ram to clock this chip.
PC 6400 is rated at 200mhz or 400 FSB (DDR)
PC 5400 is rated at 166mhz or 333 FSB (DDR)
The E2180 is a 333 FSB Chip
Therefore 333fsb x 10 Multi will give you a CPU running at 3.33Ghz with the Ram at stock speed and 1:1 in sync.
You only need pc 6400 Ram if you intend to push the E2180 past 3.33GHZ which unless you have very good air or decent water cooling.
else absolutely the E2180. Go on and buy one, you won't be disappointed! Great CPU's.
