Hi.
I have my CPU clocked to 2.8 but am getting very high temps (70C) on load.
Whats the best program to get temp readings and can i increase the speed of my CPU fan to try bring the temps down?

Another question

Im using CPUZ, when i put my clocks back to stock CPUZ says my 'muliplier' is flicking backwards and forwards between 6 and 7 which shows my stock at 1.6 then 1.8.

Thats not normal is it?

You have speedstep enabled which lowers the multiplier when idle and raises when stressed.

What cooler are you using, and double check temps with core temp and Real Temp.

Just using the stock heat sink and fan.

I checked the temps, running at 50-52C with no load.

When i take the speed step off my temp are 57 on no load :(

What do you think of this clock?

You need to invest in a half decent cooler. The stock cooler is not really desinged to cope with overclocking. Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro is a good budget choice or an Extreme if you want to splash the cash.

Wow. Just got a 7 pro and now my temps are down to 35C!

Thanks for the help.

Can anyone help.

Ive noticed when ever i turn my computer off then switch it back on my clock goes back down to stock. Have i got someing in BIOS set wrong?

Im still getting the odd time when the manual setting for clocking the freq goes back to auto. This then puts my CPU back to stock. Nothing else changes i.e. the fan setting and voltage setting.

Any ideas?

Just too add. I have noticed that the Frq reses to auto when my computer does something odd at startup;
When i push the 'on' button the computer starts to power up then, after a second or so, switches off. It then powers automatically starts powering up as normal.
