Hey guys, quick question please...
I was overclocking my e6600 (B2), 680i, Geil 6400ULL, Scythe Ninja revB +120mm last night and got to 2.85GHz with stock settings elsewhere.
The CPU cores were hitting 60 degrees (the room was quite warm) - this morning wih a slightly cooler room the temps are 46 degrees on each core.
Is this due to room temp, or has my heatsink paste settled in (just bog standard stuff), or is there another explanation?
Is 46 degrees a good temperature for this overclock?
[edit] this is whilst running prime 95 [\edit]
While you boffins are at it... what do you think my next steps should be? Up to 3GHz at stock settings?
Cheers,
M
