how on earth do you overclock this. There are just so many settings in the BIOS, and most of them have very different names to the 650i I used to have before. There doesn't seem to be anywhere that you can individually set the FSB or clock speed without affecting another component. i.e. are the CPU and RAM always linked together. I need a bit of help to understand this new (for me) motherboard.

yes the cpu and ram are linked, i have a ep45-ds3, when u go into bios the top item should read M.I.T, thats where the fsb/memory multiplier are set, most settings will be on auto, but will have a number by the side of them.

fsb, memory voltage, cpu voltage and memory multiplier are the first few to set, even if its to the default figure displayed initially.

Ok I now understand about the linked CPU and RAM fsb, but what about voltages, clock skew/drive, and all the other adjustments. What do the termination and reference voltages do. And (G)MCH and PLL??? I've done overclocking before, but all of this terminology is new to me!

Also if I up the DRAM voltage from the default 1.8V to 2.1V, should I also change the Channel A and Channel B voltages as well, or best to leave those on auto?
