I have been experimenting with overclocking my AMD Phenom II x4 965 Black Edition. Tonight my pc kept crashing and rebooting. On viewing the windows event log I saw that the following error was logged -
Fatal hardware failure
AMD Northbridge
Hyper transport link timeout failure.
On doing a bit of research on various forums, other people have suffered this and a probable cause is a motherboard fault, in that some capacitors have blown causing the wrong voltage to be feed to the northbridge causing the crashes. Just wondering if anyone else has came across this.

What motherboard is it?

With the BE, you do not need to change the NB and HT as the busclock remains at 200MHz if you just change the multi.
