Hey,
Thanks for taking a look.

I recently just got one of the MSI GTX 570 Frozr 3 editions and am attempting to overclock it but failing terribly.

Stock speed for this card is 770 Core, 1540 Shaders, 2000 memory.

I want to push it further just to see how it can perform but the core voltage is locked, attempted to unlock using MSI afterburner but it doesn't actually unlock the voltage.

What is the easiest way to unlock the voltage so I can get a steady overclock, as currently trying to go further from the current clock just ends in constant crash in games.

Cheers.
Arran

The easiest way to unlock the voltage is to do a BIOS flash on the card. Simply google VGA bios flash and there are loads of guides, Beware though because it does void your warranty. Also it seems a bit weird your card has 0 overclocking headroom!?

Yeah, I don't really want to start flashing it and voiding warranty at this point, if it's able to be changed without flashing. However obviously if I can't find a solution I will progress down this route.

However with it being the Power Edition and pre-overclocked I would have though you'd be capable of being able to change everything without ****** about too much...!

yea i dont blame you, well i cant think of any other ways to get it unlocked. Maybe try some other programs like rivatuna, although afterburner uses rivatuners engine so it may be the same deal. And even though its factory overclocked there should still be a lot of headroom to play with!?

To be honest I think I was being a little optimistic with the clocks, but I want more voltage damn it as temps were still below 68 on full load!

I will have a fiddle to get it overclocked a bit more but if anyone can shed light on the voltage then it would be appreciated.
