Overclocking GTX 970 Windforce x3

I've been playing some H1Z1 lately and I noticed that my 970 is kind of struggling to give 60 constant fps at max settings so I was thinking of clocking it for better performance but.. I have no idea what to do really or what programs to use .

If you guys could link me to a guide/video or even walk me through the process that'll be great.

Also, would I be able to "reset" things right away if it overheats or something like this happens ?

UPDATE:

Nevermind, I've followed youtube guides with the same card but I have a problem. After 3-4 FurMark tests with different clock speeds and such, the FPS locks at 37FPS for some reason, and the gpu won't go full speed until after i restart.

Why is that?

First, do not use Furmark. Second, that happens if you have a driver crash. The card won't fully clock up.

heaven or valley benchmark

there are others, look at the threads on this forum. some really tough ones. like fire strike etc.
