Hi there ive had 2 msi GTX580 twin frozr 2 graphics cards running in sli for ages now and have been very happy with the performance. i recently donated one of my cards to my nephew who is a very keen gamer but not old enough to get a job to pay for his own, Ive been playing a few games like crysis 2 with the ultra settings on and battlefied 3, and i dont know if its me or its just not as smooth. im thinking if i overclock my card a little it will boost my frame rates, I only game at 1080p and depending on the performace of the gtx600 series i will probably be ugrading to one of them next year. but for now i was just wondering what kind of performance increase i will get without frying it? thanks

thats great thanks. it was reluctant lol but i play for a few hours here and there, where as hes on his around 8 hrs a day so i think id rather see it get used than collecting dust in mine :-)

fair play to you sir...

tbh ive got 2 rigs with 580s in and i did sli this rig for a few months but ive since took 1 out as you just dont need 580 sli theres only bf3 that fully uses both cards..

its not worth the massive power draw to have 2 580s running for the performance you get from 2 over 1 of them...

Really? I've always thought that a 580 is complete overkill for 1080p with most current titles. My 580 was as smooth as glass on my old 1200p screen.
