Overclocking guide for x99

Just saw the x79 overclocking guide you did 8 pack was just wondering if you will be doing one for the x99. Got a Asus deluxe x99 and 5930 from you guys and would like to do a overclock to about 4.4 as a guide to see what the chip is like and then make decision if I will go any higher. All my cooling has been under water so should be able to push a bit harder. Been along while since I have done any overclocking previous system was my good old 2500k. Done a overclock with the Asus suit to 4.1 on the x99 but would prefer to have it done through the bios. As it has been awhile since overclocking I suppose just don't have the confidence to just jump in and do it any more as there seems a lot more bios settings to play with since 2500k Overclock. Thanks in advance 8 pack if and when available and would like to thank everyone there as per usually customers service is been top notch delivery really good even on the island I say on.

X79 guide is sticky at the top of this forum.

Sure I can do X99 guide no problem. They take a lot of work though especially with DDR4 tuning to include.

Hmm what is the best ddr4 memory right now 8pack?

Reason why i ask is beacuse i have orderd Gskill ripjaws 4 3000mhz cl15(16gig).
other parts are rampage5 and 5960x

GSKILL is the best I have tested for sure. I have 3200mhz and 3300mhz kits.

Thanks for the reply 8 pack look forward to the guide. Will hold off any other over clock on setup till then as there is no need to till I have my system fully sorted and looking good. As you said there is a lot of work for it and think well for me at the moment safer to stay were I am in my overclocking.

Agreed for stability especially at the higher end of the spectrum it's a very sensitive platform

Hadn't seen Ian had updated, Ive written a short one in the CPu section to start you off if you're not far along the road yet.

There isn't really a set path with x99 though there is a lot of trial and error involved

Hi
When Overclocking a 5820 .. what temp do I want to stay under for normal use ..

I have it running now and on Real Temp GT 3.70 It will max at 77 when left running the RealBench 2.41 for hour.. I see this go to this temp but its then drops down and stays around 74 so the 77 more s spike up then down lower ...
