I am trying to overclock my q6600 to 3Ghz with a stock cooler (for now). My system is q6600, p5n-d, 800Mhz DDR2 RAM, and all the rest of it. I have taken some screenshots of different programs I got from looking at other peoples forum threads on monitoring the CPU and how to overclock it, even though I still cant overclock mine. The cpu-z mainboard shows 650i but isnt the p5n-d 750i? Would I need to update the bios or is it just wrong? For the memory the timings shown on the case of the RAM are 4-4-4-12 @2.2v but cpu-z shows 5-5-5-12 even though in the BIOS i have set it to run at 4-4-4-12. The min-max temp screenshot is showing idle temp and temp of runing prime95 for a few mins untill it got reasonably stable on stock speed. The VID of the CPU is 1.3125v (from core temp) I have been trying to get it to 3Ghz for a while now looking all over the net for help on forums etc but I cant get it working. I try using other peoples settings in the bios and it doesnt boot properly and then reverts back to default settings(I think, 2.4ghz anyway). It worked once before with someone elses settings but when I played cod4 for a while the system just restarted so I put it back to auto on all voltages and fsb back to normal and I know it was not the CPU or GPU overheating as they were both around 40-50C.
