Hi guys,
I'm a newbie to overclocking, but some how I've managed to get my q6600 (GO) to 3.83ghz with a vcore of 1.525v and load temps for core0 and core1 of 75C and core2 and core3 at 62C.
Is this overclock safe, or should I step it down a little?

I would say that VCore is waaaay too high. You should be looking for 1.4v max (1.45 at a pinch, but I wouldn't like that for a 24/7 OC)

Your core temps are also high, most here would recommend 70 max, but that should drop a bit with a lower VCore.

Yes it can do, but will depend very much on your chip and your cooling too - some get a good one that OC's well and can take the high voltages, others are not so lucky. It's best to try to find a happy medium if you can between speed and temps/voltages. There are some here who will say they use more than that and have no issues, others who will tell you to use a lot less. The numbers I quoted earlier are about the general 'average' whenever these questions crop up. If you do a search of this forum you'll find loads of others who've asked the same!
