Need a little advice as its the first time I've actually tried for any serious increase in performance. It's an Asus A7N8X deluxe board, with an xp2400 chip. I've been gradually increasing the FSB, and doing stress tests etc. It stays nice and cool, but is unstable at speeds above 2100mhz or so. Stress test gives errors, it resest, or things crash. I've tried upping the Vcore by quite a bit (getting near max) with no improvement, and different combinations of FSB and multiplier, but always around the same mark it gives problems. I've tried decreasing the memory multiplier but the problem persists. Is there anything else I can do or is that as far as i can push it?

I had an xp2400 running at 2.17 for 3-4 years stable on air on a gigabyte g7va board.

I would say you have found the limit tbh.

Thanks for the reply, guess that's it then. Seeing as the temps were staying low I was hoping to get a little more out of it :(. Thanks again though.
