Hi guys, ive got a oldish pc that iam giving to my son and iam getting a new one

Hes only 12 and i dont really have the money to buy him a new on, he may even break this lol, but hes going to be playing games on it (i dint)

Ive overclocked the cpu a little and iam going to be buying 2x 1gb of the corsair memory as the system is only running 3gb at mo (remove the x2 512 and replace with)

I think the memory is not running right, if you have time can you look at the pics and see if all is ok, also could it be over clocked a little more ? without buying extra fans/water

Thanks for the time and any help

RAM's not far off can you play about with the RAM FSB/DRAM in bios to get it to 400mhz ?

Sorry not sure what M/B you have. Wouldn't bother overclocking CPU anymore considering use it will get.

I take it the graphics card is half decent ?

Nice one for taking the time to post / help ( varkanoid/hw91 )

My gfx is ati radeon hd 5450

Il have a look at the bios, the board is conroe945g-dvi

Just had a quick look at the manual. If you look on page 30, it shows the 'Dram frequency option'. If it is on auto change it from that and start at the lowest one (200MHz i think) and work your way up until you get one that is satisfactory.

Dont just put the highest one straight away

Thanks Temi, ive tryed them.. only the highest gets me to 358.3 rest are under 300

Must not want to go higher than this,

Il leave it, not much i can do

Thanks to everyone for the help
