overclocking help!

i am using the 1100t and a thermalright venemous x black

i ran the auto overclock and it brought me up from 3.3 to 3.8 and it worked fine running at 55c
i then brought it up to 4.1 and then the computer reset and now freezes once it reaches the bios screen.

i have the crosshair v forumla motherboard.

what can i do to push it down to 3.3 if i cant access bios

ClearCMOS button? or switch the power off at the wall and remove the battery for a few minutes.

i found the clear cmos.

i powered off, unplugged everything, pressed it, and powered back on - no changes

any ideas?

Remove battery? as well as the other steps you took?

Sound like you already sorted it, but,

leave power on for the clearCMOS button.

remove power if you go the battery route.

oh, thats why it wouldnt work at the begining.

the final attempt i made - i had only just unplugged the powercable so there was still power left in my computer
