overclocking how high can you go?

right ok i have a intel p4 3.2GHz i had it overclocked but i found it cut out when i played games so i but it back to normal i am bout to put and extra 2 fans at the back of the case and maybe one of the top how much higher could i overclock it by? and what is the max it can overclocked to 4GHz?

Not necessarily 4GHz. Some guy here had his running at over 5GHz (check the major overclocking thread). It is luck with overclocking really. You may get a good clocker, you might not.

I believe the highest P4 overclock was ~6.7GHz on phase. I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

You could push it to 3.6 easily - possibly without even changing the voltage.

in the new custom pc mag they seem to have got it to 6468.92 mhz (didnt round it up because i expect some one to say they got it to 6.4....anyways) and thats the 3rd fastest !!!!


if you can get your hands on liquid nitrogen then go forth otherwise no =P ....
