Right well after trying to push for 4.8ghz, it wasn't happening even at 1.8v. Not sure why, but I am using it's onboard gfx for the time being and I'm wondering, would that block the cpu having so much power just for processing?

However I'm now currently running 4.6ghz at 1.3v instead of 1.6v (lets hope it passes)

Temps at the moment are this

I know Joe goes on about Gflops and Stulid couldnt compare as my last test was customed. So I done what you said, and I'm still confused why I'm getting half what I should?

For your IBT scores, do you have win7 SP1 installed? that and the avx (I think its called) thing can effect, but your on 2.52 so the latter shouldn't matter.
it wasn't happening even at 1.8v
For the love of everything stay away from voltages over 1.52v, I'm surprised you have a chip left after 1.8v.

I will go out on a limb here and say if your using the onboard intel 3000 graphics on the processor than this will limit your overclocking.

Day to day use and gaming, not really, if your encoding, or something that relies heavily on clock speed then yes.

Install SP1 and try it again.

Even 1.58v is too high, personally I try stay below 1.45v, but obviously the lower the better.

Sorry, these typo's are annoying me, was using my phone, I meant 1.38 lol.

Installing SP1 now (Well downloading the iso)

Haha, don't worry about it, my phone does the same. 1.38v is not so bad, let us know how you get on with SP1.

Haha, sorry to sound like a broken record :)

You'll see the GFLOPS double with SP1. I'll be very interested to know if the temps go up as well.

Well it keeps blue screening even with 1.39vcore. Error code is 124 which seems to be a gfx issue. Maybe cos I'm using on-board?

I would say so, get a cheap pcie card and then try overclocking, a high clock speed as well as trying to render graphics output as well is going to need a higher voltage than without.

I don't understand why its so power hungry. People say enable llc but my mobo has options 1-7 instead of low medium etc.

I put it 10. Never knew it went to 10 and it made my vcore go to 1.53...

I'm also blue screening on 4.8ghz @ 1.39v on IBT but prime is fine, its since ive installed SP1 it seems IBT isnt liking it

How would I check? If its any help its the one that came on the disk

The BIOS doesn't come on a disk, it's preloaded into a flash chip on the mobo. It's always worth having the newest BIOS, which you can get from the manufacturers website.

It also usually says on the first screen when the PC turns on, after the mobo model.

I think BIOS f2 is quite old now, the bios upgrades have been good since the introduction of our Sandybridge motherboards.

Have you tried loading bios defaults and just increasing your turbo to x44? Would be good to see how many volts go to CPU under both idle and loaded conditions.
