Hello everyone,
I need some opinions on my recent overclock on my i5 2500k 4.2Ghz CPU. I have set my vcore on offset too (-) 0.085 with an Additional turbo voltage of (+0.012). All BIOS is configured to how it should be for a stable over lock. Such as in CPU config. All C States are disabled.

After prime95 been reaching temps of 69c average and CPU-Z Shows im on a 1.240-1.248 voltage. How does this sound?

Any help or advise will be greatly appreciated, I just hope everything seems okay and that I've configured the correct settings :)

My specs are:

Asrock z68 extreme 4 gen 3 motherboard.
Gelid tranquilo heatsink
Corsair XM3 4x4 (16BG, 1600mhz)
Anted 300 case with no front fans at the moment.

I'm not the best at ocing but for reference. I'm running at 4.5 with 1.34V and peak temps or 62. But I have 3 decent intake and exhaust fans. Your chip seems like it's got a lot of potnetial in it. If I were you I'd push a bit further.

Thank you for your advise :). It helps to get an idea what I need to aim for if I want to push higher. At the moment I will think I will stay at 4.2ghz as my cooling isn't so great at the moment. I only have 1 intake and 1 exhaust fans on my antec 300. They are also the stock fans. I will soon be getting two front panel intake fans.
I might get a new CPU Fan, but the present one on my gelid tranquilo doesn't seem bad, it's got good reviews and runs at 1400rpm.

Sounds good to me. I wouldn't push the voltage much further though without upgrading your cpu cooler. An AIO watercooler would allow you to push things that bit harder. As a point of reference the 2700k I had would do 4.8GHz @ 1.368v.

I imagine front fans will help a lot. Seeing as you've only got exhaust in at the moment all that's happening is the air is being pulled out and no new air pulled. Optimal airflow is having more pulled in the out. As it also prevents dust from entering all the creavis'. Grab you're self a couple of decent case fans and you should see some drops.
