Overclocking i7 3820

I have an i7 3820 @ 3.6Ghz it is 2011 socket and it is sandybridge-E
and my fan is http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-017-XG

Fan looks cheap. Watch temps for instructions below...don't exceed 80c -85c in prime.
Set vcore to manual 1.4v llc to medium. Vssca and vtt to 1.15v. Set you RAM to stock volts and timings...maybe up ram 0.05v from what it says.

Set strap to 125 and multi all cores to 36.

If you can set pll set that to 1.65v.

Run prime for 20mins. If it passes keep lowering your vcore by 0.05v. Iterate till you get stability issues. Then up it 1 notch for stable OC.

If you want a higher clock then up to 1.4v and increase multi by 1. Then go through the lowering vcore/ test cycle again.

At multi 38 expect to up vcore more (to 1.42v) as the demand on volts is exponential.

Every chip is different so above is a quick and dirty safe way to OC.

Enjoy.
