Hey guys, I've had this pc for a while now and have always wanted to overclock the i7 860 but have never had the courage to do it - but now I thought I would give it a try.
I'm still using the stock cooler - no point spending on a new cooler if I can't overclock, right? So I tried to overclock to the i7 870 speeds (a very small overclock), but it seems I can't even get that to work - the pc becomes really unstable, and either bluescreens or fails Prime95 blend test instantly.
I've read a few guides and watched a few videos, and they make it look very easy, so what am I doing wrong?
I've tried using different RAM dividers and even tried upping the vcore a bit - still no luck.
Any help would be appreciated - thanks.
I guess I should add I have an ASRock H55M-LE motherboard (yeah I know it sucks).
